Chrysocolla from the Inspiration Mine is much sought after for its
beautiful figuring and combination of other copper secondaries, such
Chrysocolla is a popular copper secondary among lapidaries. Even
though chrysocolla cuts with standard wheels, we suggest being gentle
in the coarser grits as it can chip out. This material can be polished
with tin oxide, diamond, or green rouge.
Some chrysocolla tends to undercut when polished with tin oxide. When this
happens, polishing with diamond and a quick follow up with green rouge
should rectify the problem.
